Ministry at St. Francis –
We are a fun and energetic group of faith-filled people who celebrate the wonder of Creation and are called to work for justice. We would love to have you attend one of our meetings. We generally gather on the first Wednesday of the month from 7 to 8:30pm in Room 4. Marianist Environmental Education Center at Mount St. John (Bergamo)
Located about six miles from our parish, MEEC offers a variety of programs designed to educate individuals and communities in caring for Creation. Topics include Spirituality, Ecological Justice, and Environmental Education. Each June,
MEEC sponsors a native plant sale.
Interfaith Power and Light
Interfaith Power and Light focuses on assisting religious congregations put their faith into action by promoting and supporting renewable energy, energy efficiency, and energy conservation. Ohio Interfaith Power and Light awarded St. Monica-St. George
Catholic Church in Cincinnati the grand prize ($1000) for energy reduction in 2010 for reducing their carbon footprint by 80,000 lbs/year.
The National Religious Partnership for the Environment
A partnership of independent faith groups, including the U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops, this organization works to bring the resources of faith and moral vision to the effort to protect the Earth.
